Booking & day rates
What is included in the US$299 day rate?
A regular day covers 9:00 hotel pickup to 19:00 hotel return, accompaniment and English–Chinese interpretation, the agreed Pearl River Delta car route including fuel, tolls and parking, a mid-range working lunch for up to three clients, free in-car Wi-Fi, an itinerary, a factory visit record and 30 days of online follow-up for this trip’s suppliers and orders.
Do you charge more for cross-city travel?
The agreed same-day route within the Pearl River Delta is included. I cover the vehicle, fuel, tolls and parking. Send supplier addresses before booking so the route can be planned realistically.
What are your holiday and overtime rates?
The full-day rate is US$299 on regular days and US$399 on public holidays. After 19:00, overtime is US$30 per hour on regular days and US$45 per hour on public holidays. Any part of an hour counts as a full hour.
How many people can join?
The service is designed for up to three client guests travelling with me in a five-seat Audi sedan. A mid-range working lunch for those three guests is included.
How do I book?
Send your dates, hotel city, product category and supplier addresses or exhibition plan by WhatsApp, WeChat or email. I will discuss the itinerary and availability with you before you confirm.
Does the day rate include Hong Kong or Macao?
No. The published day rate covers an agreed mainland Pearl River Delta route. Hong Kong and Macao are shown on the Greater Bay Area map for geographic context. Cross-border visits need separate planning and a separate quote.
What should I send before booking a Shenzhen business guide?
Send your dates, hotel location, guest count, meeting goals, supplier addresses and any product specifications or drawings. I will help assess the route, confirm the day rate and explain third-party costs before you book.
Your guide & independent support
Do you receive commissions from suppliers?
No. I do not charge a sourcing commission or accept undisclosed supplier payments. You make the supplier and purchasing decisions.
Can you guide a business trip that is not a factory tour?
Yes. I work as a Shenzhen-based Greater Bay Area business tour guide for overseas visitors. A day may include business meetings, exhibitions, supplier visits and local logistics; a factory tour is one possible part of the itinerary.
How do you handle privacy during a visit?
I treat your itinerary, meeting discussions, supplier details and order information with discretion. My Audi sedan has no in-car camera or audio recording equipment. Please tell me before the visit about any special confidentiality requirements; other venues or participants may have their own recording practices.
Is Wi-Fi available in your car?
Yes. Complimentary in-car Wi-Fi is included during your business tour. Mobile signal and speed depend on the route and network coverage.
Can you guarantee access to a factory or a major company?
Visits depend on the host accepting the appointment. Share your goals and supplier contacts early so we can confirm the address, meeting participants and access requirements before setting the itinerary.
Suppliers, freight & follow-up
What does the 30-day follow-up include?
For 30 days from the service date, I follow up online by chat group, email or phone on suppliers and orders involved in that trip. A later on-site factory inspection or in-person meeting is charged separately.
Can you advise on electronics products?
Yes. I have experience in electronics product design, manufacturing and export. I can share reference opinions and options while leaving the final decision to you.
Can I visit a CNC machining factory and an electronics factory on the same day?
Possibly, if the addresses and meeting times fit a practical route. Share drawings, tolerances, material and inspection questions for the machining visit, and product specifications or a BOM for the electronics visit. I can help with communication and notes; technical approval remains yours.
Can you help tell a manufacturer from a trading company?
Yes. I can help check company information, the actual production-site address and what we see on site, then clarify which work is done in-house or subcontracted. This supports your assessment; it does not certify ownership, capacity or product quality.
Can you arrange freight and consolidate goods from several suppliers?
Yes. I can help coordinate collection from multiple suppliers, consolidated packing, freight arrangements and shipment handover with your chosen providers. Collection, warehousing, packing and freight costs are confirmed separately from the day rate.
Is freight coordination included in the 30-day free follow-up?
The included follow-up is online and limited to suppliers and orders involved in this trip. Any additional collection work, warehouse visit or other in-person coordination is quoted separately, alongside third-party freight and packing costs.
Cities, industries & one-day routes
Which cities do you cover?
My core area is Shenzhen and Dongguan. I also serve Huizhou, Zhongshan, Guangzhou, Zhuhai and Foshan within the Pearl River Delta, subject to a practical agreed itinerary.
What does PRD mean, and is it the same as the Greater Bay Area?
PRD means Pearl River Delta. The Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) includes nine PRD cities in Guangdong plus Hong Kong and Macao. This service focuses on the mainland PRD cities, especially Shenzhen and Dongguan.
What industries are common in Shenzhen?
Shenzhen has important electronics and smart-terminal supply chains, along with semiconductors, precision instruments, machine tools, robotics, laser and additive manufacturing. The right district depends on the product and supplier address.
What industries are common in Dongguan?
Dongguan has a strong electronic-information and smart-device manufacturing base, plus advanced equipment and CNC-related clusters. Factory locations are spread across many towns, so town-level routing matters.
What industries are common in Huizhou?
Huizhou has electronic-information, smart-terminal and display industries, especially around Zhongkai. Other industrial parks cover auto electronics, parts, equipment and materials. Its broad geography makes the exact address important.
How far can a one-day tour reach from Shenzhen?
The most flexible same-day corridor is Shenzhen and nearby Dongguan. A focused visit to Huizhou, Guangzhou or Zhongshan can often be planned. Foshan and Zhuhai are farther and may leave less factory time. There is no fixed maximum: hotel and factory addresses, traffic and meeting length decide what fits in 9:00–19:00.
What is Guangzhou best known for in manufacturing?
Guangzhou has major automobile and electronics industries, plus well-known textiles, leather goods, beauty and personal-care manufacturing. The Canton Fair also makes it a common starting point for factory visits.
What products are Zhongshan factories known for?
Zhongshan is especially known for lighting in Guzhen, along with home appliances and hardware. The exact town matters when planning a visit from Shenzhen.
What is Foshan known for?
Foshan is well known for home appliances in Shunde, furniture in Lecong and Longjiang, and architectural ceramics around Shiwan and Nanzhuang.
What is Zhuhai known for?
Zhuhai has notable home-appliance and printing-equipment supply chains, including printing consumables, as well as integrated circuits and other advanced manufacturing.
What are Industry Briefs, and how do they help my business visit?
Industry Briefs cover selected Shenzhen and Dongguan electronics manufacturing, CNC equipment, machine-tool components and industrial automation developments. Use them to prepare supplier questions and meeting plans; they are not supplier endorsements or a substitute for due diligence.
Where do your Industry Briefs come from?
Only sources with verified permission for summaries and commercial reuse are included. Published briefs link to the original source and licence, identify the source publication date, and explain relevance to visiting buyers. Restricted or unconfirmed sources and third-party photographs are excluded. The current licensed pool is limited, so coverage is selective.
Payments, travel & visitor help
Can you help with tickets, internet access and small payments?
I can assist with flight and train ticket arrangements, give currency exchange and internet access guidance, suggest nearby rest-day trips and handle small payments with your prior approval. Third-party charges are paid by you at actual cost.
How do overseas visitors pay in mainland China?
Alipay and WeChat Pay can support eligible international bank cards. Carry a backup bank card and some RMB cash because merchant acceptance and app setup can vary. I can guide you through available options and handle a small payment only with your prior approval.
Can I use a passport to book high-speed rail?
Yes. Foreign travelers can use a passport for real-name ticketing on the official 12306 English website or app, subject to identity verification. Bring the original passport used for the booking.
Which payment methods do you accept?
I accept cash in USD, EUR, GBP, HKD or CNY; bank transfer, cheque, credit card, PayPal, Alipay, WeChat Pay (WePay). We confirm the currency, method and receiving details before payment.
Will APEC affect transfers or supplier collections in November 2026?
Temporary passenger-car and truck restrictions apply on specified dates and routes from 16 to 20 November 2026. Check the Local News traffic guide and the linked official notices for exact vehicle categories and exemptions; confirm your transfer and freight routes before travelling.
